Why is our coffee brand better than retail store bought coffee?

Typical store-brand coffee and mass-market grocery store coffee beans were roasted 8 to 16 weeks (or up to several months) before they hit the shelf. Roasted coffee beans reach their peak flavor 7 to 20 days post-roast, by the time a consumer purchases store bought coffee it has long passed the flavor peak. At American Brew Coffee Company your coffee beans are roasted the day you place your order and the best part of buying your coffee from American Brew Coffee Company is that you get your freshly roasted coffee beans within 3-5 days of purchase.

Can you explain the different coffee grind choices?

Whole Bean

  • What it looks like: The intact, roasted coffee seed before any crushing.
  • Key feature: It stays fresh the longest because the inside is protected from air.
  • Best used for: Grinding right before brewing for the best flavor.

Coarse

  • What it looks like: Large, chunky pieces that look like rough sea salt.
  • Key feature: Water flows through it very quickly because of the large gaps.
  • Best used for: French press and cold brew makers.

Standard (Medium)

  • What it looks like: Regular, smooth grains that look like common sand.
  • Key feature: It balances flavor extraction for everyday brewing speeds.
  • Best used for: Standard drip coffee machines and pour-over cones.

Espresso (Fine)

  • What it looks like: Tiny, powdery grains that look like fine table salt.
